DIY Book Jewelry Box from Sincerely, Kinsey
If you love reading books as much as you love wearing jewelry then you might find this DIY Book Jewelry Box interesting. Instead of putting your jewelry pieces on the usual boxes or necklace display, this book jewelry box offers an eccentric but pretty case for your jewelries. Created by a blogger named Amy of Eat Sleep Decorate, this jewelry box is made from an old book that was designed with an inner compartment to place your jewelry. Old-fashioned and unique, this one-of-a-kind jewelry box and how it is made is what we’ll feature for today’s article

The Book Jewelry Box is an original idea of Kinsey Mhire and posted on her blog, Sincerely, Kinsey. Her blog focuses on wonderful DIY ideas, fashion and photography. You can check her blog out at SincerelyKinsey.com.

But for now, let’s focus on how you can make this cute book jewelry box.

1. Open the old book and draw a rectangle leaving a 1/2 inch border all the way around
2. Using the exacto knife carefully cut a rectangle usin the lines you already drawn. You might repeat this process multiple times, depending on how thick the papers are.
3. Once you've cut through the first layer, flip the pages and repeat the same process until you've cut all the way though. You don't have to worry if the pages don't line up perfectly, this gives you project a more vintage look.
4. After you've cut through all the layers, apply the mod podge every few pages on the inside and outside of all the pages, gluing them together firmly.
5. Once it is completely dry, using your glue some fake flowers or the designs you picked to the top of the book.
6. After everything's dry up, you can now store your jewelry inside your own book jewelry box.
