Going inside jewelry shops can be intimidating at times
because of the very formal atmosphere they have inside. Add to the fact that the sales people in
these shops, look so dressed as if they were attending a wedding or some other
formal event. If you ask an ordinary
person, these elements of the store make them hesitate to go inside and browse for
any items they may want to purchase or even just ask about. This is a lost opportunity, a big one at
that, for any store manager or owner.
Surely you would not want this to happen to your store.
One does not have to hire a construction team to make over
the ambiance of the store. You can just
re-arrange some of the cases in the store, replace some of the jewelry display boxes,
and re-train the staff to be more accommodating and less intimidating. Another thing to add to your list of things
to change are lights. A well-lighted
place with a few spotlights strategically placed will surely give the store an
exclusive ambiance but still feel welcoming to customers and buyers. A few things to change here and there in the
store would definitely give it a new vibe and feel.
It would be a nice idea to have your window display changed
every two to three weeks. A change in
the setup and look of your window store can spark the interest of passers-by,
as they would definitely notice the new tweaks.
Some stores rarely change their display, making their setups boring and
not interesting to potential customers.
You can highlight in your window display some new designs of your
jewelry with the help of necklace display busts, earring holders and ring displays.
These cases will help create the look and feel that you want for your
display. It is also nice to have a
unifying theme for the display. As an
accent, you can have the display cases match the theme. If you review the past window displays of
famous jewelry shops like Tiffany’s, you would understand what we mean.
Creating a display showcase can be expensive, especially
when you want it really customized. This
is what stops jewelry shop owners from having them. However, if you look at it
at an investor’s perspective, you know that one needs to spend in order to gain
income. The owner would definitely have
to spend some money to improve the display, but if this will gain the interest
of customers, then it will be all worth it.
You can check out Nile Corp for your jewelry display case needs. They have a variety of cases for all kinds of
jewelry. For sure, they will be able to
get you the kind of display case that you need to complete not only your store
window makeover but also the store renovation. Advice to jewelry storeowners,
don’t think of the cost in creating a new look for your store. It will give it a new lease in life and
people will definitely feel the vibe flowing into the store. This will surely translate into more
generated sales, which is what we all want.

Personally i don't quite like visiting jewellery shops to buy my things, because as you said, it seems intimidating for me. Besides, I'm more into junk, vintage and tribal jewellery, which in most cases are sold on the Streets or local vintage/boutique stores. :)
