Earrings are one of the most popular pieces of jewelry.  A woman must have at least a pair of earrings that she can use everyday.  It can state a simple elegance and therefore uplifting the total look of the outfit. It can flatter any face shape as long as you get the right design.  However, you should not rely on the rotating earring display that you see at stores as it is best for you to try it out to see if the design indeed flatters your face.

There are many designs available for earrings. Each design and earring shape does say a lot about the wearer’s personality.  Because of the many designs available, you might find yourself lost in the midst of it.  With all the pairs displayed in the store and those that are special being placed in earring display cases, for sure, you will get dizzy as to which one to purchase.  Remember that earring shapes should soften the face shape of the owner and not match it.  Here are some face shapes and the earring design that best goes with it.

This is a rather angular face shape that can often be perceived as masculine. To soften the angles of the face, round hoops, especially medium-sized ones are the best pieces to purchase.  You can either choose to get a plain white or gold metal but to add a splash of color, you can choose the one studded with precious stones.

This is often associated with chubby cheeks.  To elongate the face, it is best to choose earrings that are oblong in shape or those that with straight designs.  Dangling earrings or narrow chandelier earrings are also recommended, as these are usually long.  Choose designs that are long so that it adds to the drama of lengthening the face structure.

Matching Your Clothes and Jewelry

Jewelry is considered to be a woman’s best friend when it comes to accessories.  It is the best thing to wear when you want to add oomph to your outfit of the day.  It can make or break the look that you want to achieve.  It also presents a pretty picture of you because it can surely catch the eye of those that can see it.

Women are attracted to jewelry as men are attracted to cars and gadgets.  These little trinkets never fail to make them smile when you present it to them as gifts.  For sure your significant other will appreciate it very much when you give it to them. Women spend money for earring displays and cases. That is why jewelry stores are banking on this to generate their sales.

Jewelry pieces are nice things to use for accessories.  You can easily mix and match them with your clothes and shoes to complete your look for the day.  It is best to invest on simple pieces at first if you have not yet started your jewelry collection.  You can also put them on jewelry display cases so that you can easily see the pieces that you have. There are jewelry boxes with clear glass or acrylic tops that can be purchased online for this.  Having this is a great way to organize your jewelry pieces.  It is also a good way to protect your pieces so that their surfaces won’t get scratched and ruined.

If you are not familiar on how to match your clothes and the jewelry pieces that you have, here are some guidelines to remember when deciding on what to wear before you get out.  This will make sure that you would look fabulous always the moment you step out of your house even if you are just wearing simple clothes.

  • When wearing jeans and plain t-shirt or any other outfit that you consider casual, it is best to pair them with casual jewelry too.  You can choose to use your pearls and diamonds but it would be over the top and you might be considered too overdressed for the occasion. Simple stud earring, gold ring, casual watch and plain chain necklace and wooden or plastic bangles from your metal wire necklace display would be your best bet. You can play with textures and colors to give your outfit the extra boost.

  •  When going out for dinner and drinks, accessorize by upping the ante with your jewelry.  This is the time to get your pieces out from your jewelry display cases and pile on the bling-blings.  The little black dress can be more dramatic when piled on with strands of pearls or a bunch of gold chains with precious stone trinkets.

  •  The colors of the stones and your dress are not required to match all the time.  You can play with colors to make the beauty of the jewelry pop out. Use contrasting colors like red rubies on black dresses, blue sapphires worn with your favorite white shirt or orange cat’s eyes with your blue slip dress.
These are just some tips you can live by when planning your outfit.  It still depends on how you carry yourself in the end, which can make people say that you wear your clothes so well.

The Right Pieces for the Right Occasion (and Outfit)

The importance of jewelry in the world of fashion is simply undeniable. Having the right jewelry to accessorize a particular outfit can spell the difference between a boring ensemble and fashion magazine chic, between a fashion success and a fashion designer. It is no wonder that even in high-profile red carpets, celebrities have taken the habit of from telling the public where they got their 'bling,' aside from the usual 'who I'm wearing.'

But ask any fashion savvy woman and they can definitely attest to the urge of every female to have jewelry displays full of sparkling, glittering things. After all, diamonds (and shiny things) are a girl's best friend, right? But just like any other stuff people love, too much of anything is not good at all. Thus, we have seen so many ladies who mean well by draping themselves with all the jewelry they have, attempting to 'add sass' to their getup and ending up looking like walking overly accessorized Christmas trees. Not good at all.

With so many styles and colors of jewelry pieces available, it is so easy for women to get attracted to the idea of pulling all the stops when it comes to accessorizing themselves. On the other hand, there are also those who are too overwhelmed with the choices, they end up choosing awkward pieces not in sync with their attire. At the end of the day, it does matter when and how many jewelry pieces a woman uses, especially in connection to dressing for a particular occasion. Here are some pieces of advice on what to wear and what to leave in jewelry displays and boxes, depending on the event.

Displaying Rings the Right Way

It cannot be denied that rings are one of the most popular pieces of jewelry anywhere in the world, in any culture. There seems to be a significance attached to having a ring for each important occasion in a person's life - that's why we have class rings, engagement rings, rings used by religious people (anybody wants to kiss the pope's ring?), championship rings in sports, and of course, wedding rings.

Rings have such an important place in people's lives that they extra careful about them, taking additional caution to take care and store them, lest they get lost.
